Hi im Shan. I have dedicated over a decade to the hair industry, building a career rooted in passion, precision and continuous growth.
I began straight from school as an apprentice, where I discovered a real love for styling and finishing. While many focused on colour, I was drawn to the transformation that happens at the final stage , the volume, movement and confidence a perfectly executed style can create.
By 19, I became self-employed and steadily built a loyal client base. Although colour work formed the foundation of my business, it was the art of the bouncy blow-dry that truly defined my direction. After investing in advanced training in 2024, refining my technique and mastering the details that make results last, bouncy blow-dries became my signature service.
Through both in-person and online education, I’ve gained not only technical expertise, but a deep understanding of how stylists learn and grow. My mission now is simple: to equip others with the skill, confidence and knowledge to build a profitable blow-dry business they genuinely love.
If you have the drive, the technique can be taught.
Learn exactly which tools and products belong in your blow-drying arsenal, from brushes and nozzles to sectioning clips and volumising sprays. We’ll cover professional vs. budget-friendly options, and how to choose based on hair type and style goals.
Discover foolproof sectioning patterns to speed up your blow-drying and ensure consistent, bouncy results. You’ll learn how to map the head, work with different hair
densities, and create clean, organised sections for better control and polish.
This section covers everything before the first blast of the dryer, proper shampooing, towel drying, product layering, and heat protection. You’ll learn how prep influences hold, smoothness, and longevity of your blow-dry.
Get the secrets to creating lift at the roots without stiffness. We’ll explore brush angles, nozzle direction, tension techniques, and product placement to get natural-looking, long-lasting volume.
Learn how to eliminate frizz and flyaways, close the cuticle properly, and give the hair that mirror-smooth finish clients love. We’ll also cover how to tailor smoothness to different hair textures and manage stubborn sections.
Master the art of using your round brush to shape curls that last, no curling iron needed. Learn how the hair enters something called the cooling phase, and set curls for maximum hold and bounce.
The final 5% makes all the difference. This section teaches finishing techniques like serum use, shine spray application, flyaway control, and where to place volume for that editorial look. Perfect for photos and client wow-factor.
You’ll learn how to create and pin curls to set shape, volume, and bounce, giving clients a longer lasting result. We’ll also cover placement strategies for different styles and head shapes to get consistently elegant results.
What to do when your brush gets stuck or a curl flops? This module is all about real time fixes and how to troubleshoot common blow-dry issues without starting over. Confidence-building and practical.
The course lasts approximately 3 hours, including demos, hands-on practice, and time for questions and personalised coaching.
