Hi, I’m Shan , a bouncy blowdry specialist and educator with over 10 years in the hair industry.
I started my career straight from school through an apprenticeship, and finishing hair was always the part I was naturally drawn to. Over the years, I’ve refined my own bouncy blowdry technique through working with real clients, different hair types and plenty of trial and error behind the chair.
Now, alongside my salon work, I teach both hairstylists and complete beginners how to create smooth, long lasting bouncy blowdries with more confidence and control.
My bouncy blowdry training is designed to meet you where you’re at, whether you’re already working in the industry and want to improve your technique or you’re a complete beginner starting from scratch.
It’s practical and focused on helping you understand why a technique works, not just copying a set of steps. Wether you choose online education , 1-2-1 bouncy blowdry training or a masterclass , the aim is to help you understand the technique and create more consistent results.

After a lot of research on bouncy blowdry courses I came across Shannan!
From start to finish she made me feel so at ease, especially as I had no professional hair experience! Coming out of the course I feel I have so much knowledge and little tricks under my sleeve to achieve the best possible results! She was so patient and supportive with me even when I repeated my mistakes several times and I generally felt as she was proud of me when I got it right and achieved a good technique. How long is the training?
The course lasts approximately 3 hours, including demos, hands-on practice, and time for questions and personalised coaching.
Do I need to be a qualified hairstylist to take this course?
No, this course is designed for both beginners and professionals. Whether you’re a stylist looking to sharpen your blow-dry game or a complete beginner, all training is bespoke to your level.
Can I take this course online or is it in person only?
This is now available as both a 1-2-1 in-person experience and as an online masterclass – giving you the flexibility to learn in the way that suits you best!
Will I learn how to adapt techniques for different hair types?
Yes! The training includes tips for adjusting your approach based on hair texture, length, and density , so you feel confident working with anyone.
Will I get hands-on practice?
Absolutely! This is a hands-on, practical session. You’ll be working on live models, with full guidance at every step.
Will I learn how to price and promote my blow-dry services?
While the focus is on technique, we touch on business tips and upselling, especially how to market a premium blow-dry experience.
What do I need to bring with me?
You’ll receive a full kit list on the day of the course, so there’s no need to bring anything with you, I’ll have all the products and tools ready for you to use. However, if you already have your own kit and would prefer to bring it along, whether to show me or simply because you feel more comfortable using it, you’re more than welcome to.
